Admissions procedure
Young people must be 18+. Referrals must be completed by Social Workers or other Local Authority staff and are forwarded to ourselves at Steps Ahead Semi Independent Living. We also accept referrals from the Home Office. In the first instance an expression of placement interest can be made either by telephone, email, DPV or via our website. This will be followed by a discussion which will take place between the referrer and one of our referral managers to assess the needs and suitability. Placements will not commence without a full risk assessment being undertaken by staff at Steps Ahead Semi Independent Living.
